Two PHS students, Ryan Richter and Paige Rizzo ('23), achieved a milestone with the publication of their research paper titled "One Pot Microwave-Assisted Synthesis of Alkane Thiols" in the International Journal of High School Research. Congratulations to Ryan and Paige!

Last week, our Medical Explorers Club met with the Joliet Fire Department and went over some emergency response scenarios.  They practiced: hands only CPR, infant choking scenario, and a 'stop the bleed' activity.

Prior to break, our geometry students demonstrated their mastery of transformational skills by creating artistic representations of turkeys. Through the application of geometric transformations, they infused color & creativity into their interpretations of these iconic birds.

The Medical Explorers Club recently welcomed a guest speaker who provided valuable insights into the career of becoming a Physical Therapist. The Club meets twice a month and members gain real-world experience through shadowing or volunteering in their chosen career paths.

Last week, Wildcat physics students began their bridge projects. This week, our physics classes are evaluating the structural integrity of their bridges. Mr. Nugent shared a brief video demonstrating how the students test their designs.
